COMMERCIAL ROOFING SERVICES
Is there a difference between hiring a general contractor to do your roof or a roofing contractor? There actually is. While most general contractors have done roofing in their careers, roofing is not necessarily going to be their area of expertise. And while most roofers specialize in roofs, they won’t necessarily know their way around many other types of associated repairs.
At Al’s Roofing, we’re your one stop roof shop for all of your commercial roofing needs. We are both general contractors and roofing contractors, so no matter what your needs—storm damage, roof leak repair, ceiling replacement or wall repainting—we’ve got you covered. We do it all so you don’t have to call several contractors to remediate hailstorm damage.
We offer extensive commercial roofing services in North Texas, including:
TPO – A type of single ply roofing membrane, TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin and is designed to have the advantages of a rubber roof, combined with hot-air welded seams for extra durability and ability to withstand damaging UV, ozone and chemical exposure.
PVC – PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride and is a thick, flexible UV-resistant thermoplastic material that offers superior energy efficiency and protection against wind, rain and hail.
Modified bitumen – Hybrids of pre-fabricated asphalt, these membranes are reinforced with plastic or rubber ingredients to improve flexibility. This option mixes some installation techniques of built-up roofing with the benefits of prefabrication and specialized formulation.
Fabricated reinforced ply system – A fabric reinforced roofing system is applied over your existing roof and is extremely versatile. This system is tough and flexible and works especially well on substrates that are not smooth. The multi-layered approach provides superior protection against the elements.
COMMERCIAL ROOFING INSPECTION
In order to maximize your roof’s lifespan in the DFW Metroplex area, roof inspection and maintenance is critical. At Al’s Roofing, we will devise a FREE customized roof inspection and maintenance program tailored specifically to your needs in order to protect your investment and add years to the life of your roof.
The key is to detect any problems sooner rather than later. A regular roof inspection program will help detect minor problems before they become serious. Typical roof inspection and maintenance programs in the Dallas area are done on a yearly, bi-yearly or quarterly basis.
During a roof inspection, the roofing specialists at Al’s Roofing will scrutinize roof traffic patterns, drainage systems and base attachments and will also investigate the possible occurrence of any contaminants, moisture infiltration or faulty roof membrane seams.
With an investment as large as a roof, it’s important to enlist the service of a qualified, licensed roofing contractor for periodic roof inspections. Additionally, to keep most roofing warranties in full effect, manufacturers require a verifiable roof inspection and any subsequent recommended maintenance.
COMMERCIAL ROOF REPAIR
A commercial roof takes a beating, and not just because of the typical Dallas-area assaults like hailstorms and other weather-related events. Commercial roofs have to bear more foot traffic and an overall higher workload.
Al’s Roofing has decades of experience helping businesses like yours weather commercial roofing repairs while still handling daily operations with minimal interruptions. Our experienced professionals will diagnose your problem fast and fix it on time and within your budget.
COMMERCIAL ROOF REPLACEMENT

I highly recommend the team at Al’s Union Roofing, LLC. We have used them multiple times to take care of the roof on our rental properties. From minor to major repairs, they have fixed them all at an affordable price. Would highly recommend them.
My husband thought it would be a good idea to try and shingle our roof on his own but quickly learned he did not know what he was doing. We called this company and they came out the next day and finished the job for us. Great experience overall.
Best roofing company in Morrisville. Al’s Union Roofing, LLC offers quality discount roofing services and they do an amazing job. I was impressed with how many different colors I could choose from for my shingles. Our new roof looks wonderful and we could not be happier with the decision we made to hire them.
COMMERCIAL TPO ROOFING
Economical, durable and green, TPO is often the roofing material of choice for commercial buildings with relatively flat roofs. TPO often meets a commercial building’s needs while also offering good value in relationship to its overall cost.
TPO can be attached to the roof either through full adhesion, mechanical fasteners or ballasts. Since it doesn’t contain any plasticizers, it’s been embraced by the green building sector as a relatively inexpensive method of ecologically sound roofing. In addition, years of UV radiation don’t cause TPO to degrade as can happen with some of the less green roofing materials.
Resistance to tears, algae and mold
COMMERCIAL PVC ROOFING
PVC roofing is similar to TPO and is also used to cover flat roofs but used less frequently in areas with extreme weather conditions. The heat-welded seams of PVC create a particularly strong watertight bond that’s even stronger than the membrane itself, which gives it permanence. As a result, PVC roofing doesn’t have to depend on tapes, adhesives and caulks for sealing its seams as other types of roofing systems do.
PVC roofs are highly wind resistant, due to their welded seams and have held up in Category 3 hurricanes. They are also fire resistant and highly resistant to oxidation reactions.
Here are the Advantages:
Resistant to fire and oxidation
SHOULD I CHOOSE TPO OR PVC COMMERCIAL ROOFING?
Two of the hardest flat roof systems to tell apart are PVC and TPO. Both are usually white or light, heat welded systems that look virtually identical. However, while the face of both membranes and their installation are virtually identical, they are very different systems on the inside.
Both have their pros and cons and a reputable and an experienced roofing contractor like Concord Roofing & Construction can offer sound advice to help you make the best decision for your needs. Both PVC and TPO are thermoplastic and highly resistant to roof leaks because of a reduced instance of seam failures. The business you’re in will usually determine what type of material makes the most sense.
For example, PVC has better chemical resistance; it does not absorb or get weakened by oils and greases, making it a better choice for restaurants and other buildings that have grease traps on the roof. Other examples:
Overall weather resistance: TPO
Resistance to fungal growth: TPO
Environmentally friendly: TPO
Chemical resistance: PVC
Chemical resistance: PVC
COMMERCIAL MODIFIED BITUMEN ROOFING
A common roofing system that has been popular in the commercial sector for over 30 years, modified bitumen is an asphalt material combined with polymers and fillers. Its popularity is due to durability and lower energy costs due to its ability to reflect heat and UV rays.
Modified bitumen is also:
Easy to inspect
Simple to repair
COMMERCIAL FABRICATED REINFORCED PLY SYSTEM ROOFING
The fabricated reinforced ply system offered by Al’s Roofing combines the leak-resistant seamless membrane of a liquid-applied system with the toughness and strength of a single-ply system. The reinforced fabric gives extra strength to the finished watertight coating membrane without adding significant weight. With its reflective, energy-saving topcoat, its finished ply system stands up against tough weather and offers strong long-lasting protection.
